We
do this by raising money throughout the year from individual and
corporate donations. We organize THREE main fundraising events:
Saturday,
May 15, 2010 - The Texas Honor Ride is having a Fun Run! It
will be hosted by Stubbs Harley Davidson at the 4400 Telephone Rd.
location and will include food, music, raffles and of course, the Texas
Honor Ride Fun Run. This is a new fund raising event for the THR
as we reach out to the riders on the South Side of
Harris and surrounding counties. The proceeds will go to
THR for the wounded and injured Soldiers at the "Warrior and
Family Support Center" (WFSC) at Brooke Army Medical Center
(BAMC).
Saturday
September 25, 2010 - the September Texas Honor Ride Fundraiser and Ride will
again be hosted by the West Conroe Baptist Church. Live and Silent
auctions, Military Helicopters, great food and entertainment. We're
hoping this year (our 5th Anniversary) will be the biggest and best
ever.
Saturday,
November 13, 2010 - The Texas Honor Ride
from Houston to BAMC!
And, when invited, we attend other
rallies, club meetings and events, like the Texas Open Chili
Championship, the Oldest Town in Texas Rally, the Lone Star Rally and this year,
Iron
Cuffs Rally in LaGrange, TX.
All
donations are fully tax deductible.
Over
the past four years The Texas Honor Ride, a 501(c)3 charity, has
raised close to $400,000 for our Wounded Warriors at Brooke Army Medical
Center (BAMC) in San Antonio.
All
funds raised go to the Warrior
and Family Support Center at BAMC where the staff and counselors
administer the funds to our wounded.
Our
merchandise sales also a big contributor and our on-line
store is open for business. We have SOLD OUT of this year's
awesome THR challenge coin! We
have 2009 THR t-shirts (and a few of the long sleeve shirts), patches, pins and, of course, Disciples Cross
Necklaces. And a few items from past rides in case you missed them.
Thank
you for your support of our Wounded Warriors.
